who'd you fuck, dolce or gabbana?

finally here. new york city. i moved here on sunday but it feels like it's been much longer. i've been running around non stop. the city is a truly amazing place. every single time i look out my window i can't believe i'm actually here. i live in an awesome part of manhattan, there's so much to do close by.

i'm a block from st. mark's place, which is full of amazing vintage shops and tattoo parlors and asian restaurants. on the first night here my roommate vicki and i went with our floor mate keeler to a sushi joint there called je'bon. i had tempura'd shrimp rolls, and keeler and vicki shared a carafe of sake because they don't card there. or anywhere on st. mark's for that matter. went to pinkberry across the street afterward and was the happiest girl in the world.

vicki and i have been doing lots of shopping and exploring. she bought a fake id in chinatown for $88. last night we went to angels & kings for trainwreck tuesday. cute place. rob hitt is a good dj. they were filming the real world there all night. the cast seemed pretty douchey except for this girl named sara(h) i was talking with. i also finally met a relatively cute straight boy but he was fucking weird as hell. c'est la vie, i suppose. i haven't felt homesick once until going to ak. it was like a doppleganger of shakedown only not nearly as good. i got a lil' bummed.

after angels & kings vicki and i separated and i went to a bar called happy ending with some new frendz~ i'd met. cayci is 27, a freelance fashion designer, a good dancer and an all-around sweetheart. wendy is cayci's slightly younger sister who looks just like her. she has a shitzu named sophie, likes cocaine, and is moving to la soon to work for marc jacobs. jon is 22, really gorgeous, gay, and a model. he recently was part of a campaign for converse. the three of them are sweet. they look out for me like one of their own. we hold hands when crossing crowded rooms.

the only thing that could make this place better would be if my real friends were here.
